Tools & Supplies I Use and Recommend

When I first got started, I bought a few starter kits that were inexpensive and useful.  Over time, I began replacing items and materials with items I discovered.  On social media, I am often asked what materials & tools I use, so I have decided to put together a list here.  As I discover new, exciting tools I will add them here as well.  All of this is not necessary to get started.  You can get started with a few different gauge wires, a couple pliers, and flush cutters.

I personally buy most of my copper in bulk from Rio Grande these days. These are the ones I typically order.

Round Dead-Soft Copper Wire, 20g, 1 lb Spool

Square Dead-Soft Copper Wire, 20g, 1 lb Spool

Round Dead-Soft Copper Wire, 28g, 1 lb Spool

Half-Round Dead Soft Copper Wire, 21g,1 lb Spool

I also purchase Sterling Silver Dead-Soft wire from Rio Grande in the same gauges, however, Silver is much more expensive.  I purchase it by the Troy Ounce for each Gauge and re-order as necessary. However, here are some links to smaller amounts of Sterling Silver Dead-Soft wire available on Amazon.
